Our Community - Our Families

The families at Sidewalk's End Montessori School are involved in their child's education. They believe in the Montessori philosophy and value its emphasis on independence and self-directed learning. They are often seen volunteering in the classroom, attending parent-teacher conferences, and actively participating in school events and fundraisers. Our families understand the importance of fostering a love for learning in their child and are committed to creating a supportive and enriching educational environment both at home and at school.  Our families return to visit us often, sharing their successes and their stories.

We expect to build relationships with families that support the development of children in all aspects of their growth and do this by having an open door policy and reciprocal communication.  We believe that parents have expert knowledge of their children and to that we bring our expertise in child development and the Montessori method.

Together, we set children up for success!

"Sidewalk’s End has been a blessing for our entire family. We moved back to Colorado in 2020 and searched for the best preschool for our daughter. We discovered Sidewalk’s End and couldn’t be happier. Our daughter has made so many wonderful memories, and her curiosity to learn has grown exponentially since attending Sidewalk’s End. The faculty are first rate—teachers who are truly invested in our daughter and our family.

We’re very grateful we found this wonderful community!"

Christina A. - Monarch Parent

"We have been with Sidewalks End Montessori for the past 4 years. We have had all three of our girls at their school because they have been simply wonderful! The entire staff has continually gone above and beyond to make sure our girls are learning, thriving and most importantly having fun!

It’s never easy to send your children off to school, but knowing I am sending them to a place where they are valued and loved makes all the difference!

We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a well rounded preschool that teaches not only the basics, but also the true values of childhood. We can’t thank them enough for setting our girls up perfectly to head off to elementary school!"

"I just wanted to say thank you for the loving and nurturing learning environment you all put so much of your time and self into. I’m so grateful for all of you. It brings me so much peace to know that every day Kate walks into Sidewalk’s End and feels safe and loved.

She might hesitate at the door but she talks about you and her friends endlessly. We have loved watching her grow since she’s been with you and while we’re not in a rush, we can’t wait to see how the foundation she builds with you will carry her forward in life."

Located in the Pikes Peak region, Sidewalk's End Montessori School is situated on the ancestral homeland of the Ute Peoples, who are the Southern Ute, Ute Mountain Ute, and Northern Ute. Other tribes who lived and hunted on this land include the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Comanche, and Apache. Even through forced relocation and land dispossession, we recognize that the land still holds Ute traditions, language, stories, and history. Today, Indigenous people from many Native nations reside here and continue to make significant contributions to our community.
